The police procedural, or police crime drama, is a subgenre of procedural drama and detective fiction that emphasizes the investigative procedure of a police officer or department as the protagonist, as contrasted with other genres that focus on either a private
detective, an amateur investigator or the characters who are the targets of
investigations. Shows that are like this are silent witness, money heist
and 9-1-1. They all include tense plot twist, crime scenes and normally people breaking
the law or doing things they shouldn’t.
People like these types of films/
shows because some of them are true story based and just very catchy and
intriguing. They include engaging and thrilling scenes which make people want
to watch. With police sconces, crimes and lots of drama.
