Comparison of media language in MOJO and We Love Pop

The layout of MOJO is organised which connotes (=has associations of) it is an orderly and well put together. By contrast, the layout of We Love Pop is...chaotic which connotes it is a happy and fun magazine. These are both well designed magazines but you would assume the We love pop magazine is aimed for younger people.



The typography of MOJO is bold, certain colours and all majority kept in the same font which connotes (=has associations of) it is keeping the same vibe and showing of its main purposes. By contrast, the typography of We Love Pop is colourful, big letters and scattered across the magazine which connotes the magazine is fun and has lots for the reader to see and read.



The layout of MOJO is very fixed where you have enough space for the headline and title as well as the photo and the CD which connotes (=has associations of) it’s showing that’s it very fixed on getting people attention of the band. By contrast, the layout of We Love Pop is very close together and is filled with pictures and big writing which connotes it wants the audience to view all of the fun and cool things the magazine has inside.



The colour palette of MOJO is limited to pink blacks and white which connotes (=has associations of) it is trying to keep to a theme and putting the most important things in the right colours. By contrast, the colour palette of We Love Pop is lots of bright colours such as pink, blue and yellow which lets the reader see all that is important of the magazine.
